Who We Are

Wycliffe Bible Translators Philippines

Together we can follow God's lead to bring His Word to all people.

God is on the move!

God is on the move in ways that we’ve never seen before in the history of the world!

Today we’re witnessing an exponential acceleration as churches and communities engage the last remaining languages that need access to God's Word. Seeds planted in communities worldwide over many decades have taken root and grown into an abundant harvest.

Translation has made a generational impact, and people whose lives were first touched by the gospel in their own language are now working to bring it to other communities.

The global Church is taking ownership of Bible translation!

God’s global mission

We believe this is the heart of God and that He is saying to us, “Imagine with Me. Imagine joining Me in that work. Let Me be God, and watch Me move.” But God is not calling us to just watch — He's asking us to participate and say, “Yes, Lord! We’re all in!”

This is an opportunity to be wholly invested and committed to seeing Scripture made available in every language still needing it in our lifetime.

Will you say “yes”?

Here’s how you can get involved today:

Why

Bible translation

The Bible is one of the oldest and most popular books of all time. But is it just a book, or is it much more?

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us — something that everyone should be able to understand for themselves. When people encounter Jesus through Scripture in their own language, lives often change in amazing ways!

That’s why Wycliffe Bible Translators exists: to work with churches, communities and partner organizations until everyone can access God's Word in a language and format they can understand. We won’t stop until all people — speaking or signing more than 7,000 languages worldwide — have the Bible.

1.5 billion people don’t have a full Bible in their language.

128 million people don’t have any Scripture in their language.

350+ sign languages are still waiting for a video Bible translation.
